On November 1st, 2013 I decided I needed to change. I began paying attention to labels and doing what I could do exercise-wise at home. On Feb 5th, 2014 I walked into AmFam for the first time EVER walking into a gym. I did the AmFamU program, and once I completed it, I decided I wanted to get a personal trainer. I met Jason early April and we began training on April 14th. At the time I met Jason, I was still pretty lost, and he has been able to teach me not only how to exercise correctly but also about how to stay positive and helped boost my self esteem.
I have lost a total of 116 lbs and went from a size 26 to a size 12. I am super excited about all this, but the biggest accomplishment is seeing my physical strength. I used to fear box jumps, and now I am able to knock them out left and right. I still have about 40 lbs to go before I reach my ideal goal, but at this point, it’s more about building my strength and proving to myself that the sky is the limit. I am so grateful to AmFam and especially Jason.
