After weighing 276 pounds, I found my health and way of life miserable. Losing the weight and getting fit was more about living life than a diet. I initially lost 55 pounds, but then plateaued to 220 for several years. Not until I joined the Mechanicsville AmFam was I able to take off the last 40 pounds; however, with the addition of weight training I added 10 pounds of lean muscle mass. Overall, I have maintained my weight of 195 lbs for three years with a dedicated eating lifestyle and have lost 6 inches on my waist. Eating right and staying healthy means more than transformation of the outward appearance, it’s an inner satisfaction and way of life.
