In December 2016 I was told by a doctor it was time to make some changes in my life or I might not be around much longer. I had high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea and severe acid reflux which had caused some other significant health issues. That very day I decided to make changes. I started changing the way I ate and with my husband’s help, I got myself into the gym. I was very self-conscience and did not want to be there at all. I started in May 2017 by walking in the pool, which I did for about 6 weeks. I then started to walk on the treadmill and my husband started to teach me how to use the machines and how to lift weights. As time went on and I started to lose weight and feel better, I also felt more confident in myself and going to the gym. Now in December 2018, I am no longer on medication for high blood pressure or cholesterol. No longer have sleep apnea or acid reflux. I have lost 120 pounds and gone from a size 24W pant to a 6 and I feel fantastic and am so happy with my new lifestyle and fitness.
